Statistical Simulation

This routine performs statistical simulation of Budget Worksheet, enabling charts generation in order to view values variation, in order to provide larger control on budgets.

Main functionalities of this routine are:

Preparation of annual budget, using history data, hypothesis and criteria (costs, expenses, revenues, raising of financial resources, variations of amounts and resources prices, production variation and depreciation/amortization);
Use of mathematical formulas (averages, standard deviation, percentages, etc.) to facilitate preparing a budget, as well as the analysis of proposal evaluation and help users that have follow up tasks on agreements value and budget execution values;
Preparation of budget projections annually, with the possibility of using stored data, of time periods (1 year, 2 years, etc);
Project budget values for established periods, using financial indexes (inflation index, salary index, etc);
Allow the Budget Unit to view agreements data and budget execution that indicate accounts with balance availability, according to absolute values and/or percentage criteria, as to guide reallocation needs for deficit accounts;
Allow advisers of a Board to have access to view all Budget unities under their Board, agreement data and budget execution indicating accounts with balance availability, according to absolute values and/or percentages criteria, as to guide reallocation needs to Budget Unities with accounts in deficit.

Requirements

Before performing a statistic simulation, a prior registration is required:

Budget Accounts with hierarchical structure;
Cost Center with hierarchical structure;
Budget Accounts with Budget Accounts, Cost Center and Values Class related.

Procedures

To add a statistical simulation:

1. In Static simulation, click New.
2. Fill out the fields according to field help instructions.

Note how the following fields are filled out:

Plan. Budget: select a budget sheet where simulation is performed.

Base Version: enter code of worksheet base version ;

Version Yes.: enter worksheet simulation version, that must not be equal to base version code.

3. Check information and confirm it.
