The safety stock is treated by product and indicates the minimum amount in stock, so as to avoid that the product is out of stock between the purchase request or production request and its receipt, when consumption is above the average or supply is delayed. The amount defined as safety stock is considered for calculation of point of order, which is done in Calculation of Economic Lot.

It can be informed through a formula registered in Formulas.

Example:

Safety Stock must be 10% of the Point of Order.

1. In Formulas, register:

Code: XXX

Content: SB1->B1_EMIN * 0.1

B1_EMIN is the field Point of Order.

2. Enter code XXX in field Saf.Stock Form.
