The Calculate Cofins field determines Cofins calculation (Contribution for Financing of Social Security) for the routines using the registered classes, while the Cofins Perc. field defines the tax percentage to be applied.
When including bills receivable and this field is indicated as Yes, the system calculates Cofins amounts from the bill's value according to the percentage defined in Cofins Perc. field and the Client Register, where the Calculate Cofins field must be set as Yes.
The system uses the MV_COFINS parameter to indicate the class for classifying the Cofins bill.
Example - Application of the Calculate Cofins field when adding bills receivable:
When entering Yes in the Calculate Cofins field and 2% in the Cofins Perc. field, during the inclusion of a bill receivable of R$ 1,000.00, the system calculates R$ 20.00 for the Cofins referring to this bill.
