Families
The Families register allows you to register general information to instruments groups, defined by calibration points function, tolerance, report type, calibrating organ etc, that exists in each instrument.
Its main function is to join instruments with similar characteristics.
The new instrument family revisions will be created just when there is a changing in the register fields, and when the family is used in one or more calibrations.
Range does not allow you to associate standards with expired validity date, doing a comparison with the basis date and showing a message in the screen that warns you about the no-conclusion of the association.
Procedures
To register a family:
| 1. | In the Families maintenance window, select Add. |
The system displays the adding screen.
| 2. | Fill out each field according to the field help. |
| 3. | After filling out the fields, check and confirm them. |
| 4. | Once an instrument family is included, it will be able to be associated to ranges and to B type uncertain, through Associations, available in the menu. |
An instrument family cannot be deleted if it is related to opened movements in the environment, or if it is pending. |
