Management Interface

Management interface is divided into menus, as follows:

Main:

The menu Main has the main functionalities for SIGADW maintenance. It has the following items:

Log: displays the SIGADW log, such as errors occurred, imports made, etc. The menu Log is subdivided into logs of Application and of User.  Logs of Application are generated by SIGADW (errors, imports, etc.). Logs of User are generated from the access of users to SIGADW functionalities (such as dimension creation, access to queries, etc.).
Scheduling: it shows scheduling made in SIGADW.
Process: it shows all processes that are being made at the moment (imports, exports, etc.).
Configuration: it makes several configurations in SIGADW.
Messages: it makes the maintenance in messages used in SIGADW.

Definitions:

The menu Definitions has the functionalities for SIGADW modeling.

Dimensions: it makes the creation and maintenance of dimensions in SIGADW.
Cubes: it makes the creation and maintenance of cubes in SIGADW.

Queries:

The menu Queries displays queries created in SIGADW:

Pre-defined: creation and maintenance of pre-defined queries.
Users: creation and maintenance of user queries (only final users can create these queries).

Tools:

The menu Tools displays support tools to SIGADW maintenance. It has the following items:

Metadata: creation of metadata file that represents SIGADW structure (it does not have data).
Import: it is used for imports of metadata files. It creates SIGADW elements from the structure defined in metadata (metadata of queries, dimensions, cubes, etc.).
Cleanup: it is used in SIGADW cleanup. You can compact the data warehouse, delete data of dimensions and cubes, besides deleting definitions of dimensions, cubes, and queries. These changes are irreversible.
Sync. SigaMat: it is used in the synchronization of SigaMat.emp file with SX files used in data extraction by SIGADW, analyzing whether they are shared or not.

Support:

The menu Support displays support elements necessary to make SIGADW work:

Periods: it enables the definition of breaks of dates different from the standard (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual, etc.). This functionality is internally used by SIGADW, without its configuration.
Connections: it enables the creation and maintenance of several connections to import data and/or data structure.

Important:

Management Interface is used to implement the Star Schema model in SigaDW. Therefore, it will be more detailed during this document as you see the creation of all elements of a Data Warehouse.
