Special Bonus

Important:

The feature which controls special bonuses is intended for complying with Mexican legislation, but is available for all countries.

In Mexico, when an employee works on days of rest, holidays and Sundays, he/she is entitled to earn special bonuses.

These bonuses are defines as:

Prima Dominical - bonus for each Sunday worked;
Descanso Laborado - bonus for each day of rest worked;
Festivo Laborado - bonus for each holiday worked, that is:

Bonuses

Prima Dominical

Paid to employees who work on Sunday.

Descanso Laborado

Paid to employees who work on his/her day of rest.

Festivo Laborado

Paid to employees who work on a holiday.

Notes:

The events of the table above may occur simultaneously. That is, if a given day is Sunday, a holiday and indicated as rest in the shifts table (SP6), n employee working on that day must receive the Prima Dominical, Festivo and Descanso Laborado bonuses, respectively.

Example:

The employee, on a Sunday which was also a holiday according to the holiday table, had the following records: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM 1:00 PM 5:00 PM. In the shift's schedule, Sunday is a day of rest (PWR). The total number of hours worked is 8:00 and the annotation calculates the bonuses:

Prima Dominical

08.00 hours

Descanso Laborado

08.00 hours

Festivo Laborado

08.00 hours

Procedures:

Adding annotation rule for special bonuses:

1. Add the annotation rule according to instructions of these field help.
2. In the Events tab, fill out the following fields according to instructions:
Wk. Sun. Bonus

Select 1 - Yes to generate the Work-On-Sunday Bonus event in the annotation, for employees who work on Sunday, or 2 - No, otherwise.

To do so, in Event Maintenance, bind an event to the 039 - Work-On-Sunday Bonus calculation identifier and also bind a payroll item to the event so as to allow the Personnel Management module to calculate the bonus.

Wk.PWD. Bonus

Select 1 - Yes to generate the Work-On-Paid-Weekly-Rest-Day Bonus event in the annotation, for employees who work on a day of paid weekly rest but are not obliged to. Otherwise, select 2 - No.

To do so, in Event Maintenance, bind an event to the 040 - Work-On-Paid-Weekly-Rest-Day Bonus calculation identifier and also bind a payroll item to the event so as to allow the Personnel Management module to calculate the bonus.

Wk. Hol. Bonus

Select 1 - Yes to generate the Work-On-Holiday Bonus event in the annotation, for employees who work on a holiday.

To do so, in Event Maintenance, bind an event to the 041 - Work-On-Holiday Bonus calculation identifier and also bind a payroll item to the event so as to allow the Personnel Management module to calculate the bonus.

3. Confirm the inclusion of these fields.
4. Then, access the Events routine.
5. Add a new event (or select an existing one) and bind it to one of the calculation identifiers for annotation.
6. Repeat this procedure for the other identifiers, according to need.
7. When carrying out the annotation, according to the configured rule, the described bonuses are applied to the time worked.

Notes:

a. New identifiers are automatically created by the system. However, it is not necessary to bind it to corresponding events.
b. This implementation only applies to daily periods, that is, there is no handling of weekly, biweekly or monthly calculation for these events.
c. Events are always calculated, regardless of other events. For example, absences do not prevent the calculation of Descanso Laborado. Neither does the presence of unauthorized overtime affect the calculation of Prima Dominical.
d. Events are calculated according to the day of annotation. For example, if the employee's shift starts on a Saturday and continues into the following Sunday, Prima Dominical is not calculated, regardless of whether the time worked on Sunday is greater to the time worked on the previous day.
