Flexible Schedule
SIGAPON allows control of flexible schedules. This happens when it controls the total number of hours worked, partially or fully independent of the times indicated in the Default Schedule Table.
The following types of flexible schedules are available:
| • | Flexible Schedule (with Determined Flexible Times) |
This control is applied to the work schedule when the flexible times are specified for starting the shift. This flexibility can be before or after the schedule defined for starting.
Example:
Consider the following schedule: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with 10 minutes of flexibility before the default start time:
In this case, the employee may start his shift from 7:50 AM to 8:00 AM. According to the expected workload, he can leave from 5:50 PM to 6:00 PM.
Applying the example to the times of the interval, the same rules as mentioned earlier are used, only that they are applied to the interval.
|
| • | Free Flexible Schedule (without Determined Flexible Times) |
This control is applied to the work schedule when the flexible times are not specified for starting the shift.
Example:
Consider the following schedule: From 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
This means that the number of hours worked by the employee is checked irrespective of the time of his arrival or departure.
Applying the example to the times of the interval, the same rules as mentioned earlier are used, only that they are applied to the interval.
The workload to be checked depends on the calculation period entered in the field Calc.Flex.Sch. |
Loss of Flexibility
The system allows loss of flexibility if the entry in the shift or in the flexible interval exceeds the flexibility times indicated. To do so, you should use the Flex. Sch. Tol. and Flex. Sch. Int. Tol. fields.***
These fields are used to define whether the system must consider or not flexibility in the schedule when the rule has flexible schedule with tolerance before or after and if the time record is greater than this tolerance.
Example:
| • | Table Schedule: from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, first departure is interval. |
| • | Rule: 1 hour of flexible schedule before or after. |
| • | Records: 1st day: from 9:01 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. |
| • | If the Flex.Sch.Tol. field is blank or set as A, the new time table is: |
| • | from 9:00 AM to 12:00 and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and the systems records one minute (0:01) of tardiness. In this case, we consider that there is no tolerance for tardiness. |
| • | If the Flex.Sch.Tol. field is set as P or T, the timetable is not changed, remaining: |
| • | from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and the system records one hour and one minute (1:01) of tardiness and one hour (1:00) of overtime. In this case, we consider that there is no tolerance for tardiness. |
| • | If the Flex.Sch.Tol. field is set as A or T and records are from 6:59 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the table schedule is not changed, remaining: |
| • | from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and the system records one hour and one minute (1:01) of overtime at the start of the shift and one hour (1:00) of early leaving at the end. In this case, we consider that there is no tolerance for early leaving. |
The same example serves for the flexible interval with tolerance.
Synchronism of interval schedule by way of flexible schedule.
The system allows synchronizing of the interval schedule when the field Synch. Interv. is S, thus respecting the number of hours between entry and exit of the original interval.
Example:
Take the following schedule: from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility before start of the shift of 1:00, and the records: from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The new schedule indicated is: from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
If the field mentioned is set as No, the annotation considers early leaving.
If it is set as Yes, the synchronization of the interval generates the expected schedule of 07:00 am to 11:00 pm and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, not generating the annotation of early leaving.
Synchronism of the Work Schedule due to the Flexible Interval.
When there is a flexible interval schedule, the work schedules of the extremes (first entry and last exit, for example), are not automatically adjusted due to the interval. To run this procedure, you must specify the synchronism in the Sync.Ej.Intv. field. This way, when determining a very high flexibility for the interval, the schedules correspond to its flexibility.
