Costs in Asset Maintenance
For better comprehension of the contents, the routine is explained below, divided in two distinct parts: Parameter screen and search feedback.
Repair Shop (Parameters) and Tree (Search Levels)
The parameter screen is divided in two parts, upper and lower. The upper part is responsible for the parameters used to fine tune the search, whereas the other defines the levels displayed in the search feedback and its organization.
The search parameters enfold the maintenance type (Preventive, Corrective, Others and All), the time period (already filled out suggesting the 30 days prior to current date) to be considered and the involved inputs. You must choose which input types to consider in the search. The possibilities are: Tool, Labor, Product, Third Party and Specialty. Besides the types, you can use the FROM/TO fields to filter records, defining a product or range of products for the search.
The search levels are on the left frame of the lower area of the screen. They must be transfered to the frame on the right to participate of the feedback. The levels entered on the left frame (Order of Levels) are viewed in the feedback according to availability.
The System always warns when some organization type cannot occur. The levels currently integrating the routine are: Branch, MNT Type, Area, Task, Asset, Service, Family, Cost Center and Input Type. |
Tree (level display structure), Chart and Browser (tree item data frame).
The search feedback screen is comprised of three frames, one to the left and two to the right, the later being one above and one below. The explanation below refers to each one separately.
The left frame is called Tree and displays a structured representation of chosen search levels. You can browse through levels simply by using the keyboard arrow keys or by clicking the add signs found next to the levels.
Each level contains the sum of the costs of the levels below and may be detailed, targeting the level immediately below it. The levels offer a number of actions. Among them, the five options arranged along the left margin of the frame:
| • | View register (icon with magnifying glass): It displays on the left hand side of the screen (in place of the chart and browser) the register of the item on which the register is positioned. Only some levels can offer this option. |
| • | View details (icon with pie chart): It returns the chart view and browser when you access a register. It updates the browser and the chart with data on the level being positioned upon. |
| • | Report (icon with printer): It sends the browser data to the printer. |
| • | Filter (icon with funnel): It accesses the parameter screen used at the beginning of the search and changes it for a new search. |
| • | Caption (icon with a sheet of paper with colored squares): It displays the captions used in the routine and their icons. |
Some items may not have the View Register and View Details options. |
Besides the above actions, you can use the Double Click option to access a given level and send your data to browser and chart.
In the frame on the lower right hand side there is a chart fed by Double Click selected data or via the View Details option. It is the graphical representation of the data viewable in the browser, comparing things forecasted to those accomplished in service orders.
The top right frame is called Browser and obtains level data in detail, whenever the View Details or the Double Click options are selected.
The information found in the browser can be printed in its entirety. |
