How to configure the display of information panels, called Online Panels, in the Protheus modules

Product:

Microsiga Protheus

Versions:

11 and 12

Step by step:

The Online Panel is a feature that displays module indicators on the main screen in Smartclient. To configure these indicators, follow these steps:

- Open the Protheus Application Server appserver.ini file.

- Add the 2 lines below in the section of the environment that will use the Online Panel:

PANELSERVER=server ip

PANELPORT=TCP port of this server

We recommend leaving an Application Server (Appserver) dedicated to the Online Panel service.

Example:

(This setting must be made on the Appserver that users access. The indicated "PANELPORT" must be the [TCP] port of another Appserver that will start only to process the Online Panels)

[Environment]
SourcePath=C:\TOTVS 12\Microsiga\protheus\apo\
RootPath=C:\TOTVS 12\Microsiga\protheus_data
...
PANELSERVER=localhost
PANELPORT=1299

After setting up the appserver.ini file, follow the steps below:

- Enter the Other/Online Panel tab.

- On the left side of the screen, mark the modules for which you want to use the indicators.

- Click on the Module on the left side, and then on the right side of the screen the Panels available for this module will be displayed. Check the ones you want to use.

- Click the Administrators group and then Change.

- On the Group tab, click the OnLine Panel tab.

- Enable the panels selected before in the Policy routine.

- Click on the user that will use the Online Panel, and then click Change.

- Click on the Parameterization/Online Panel tab.
