02. DESCRIPTION
This parameter determines whether to generate a workflow for fixed asset posting requests, affecting how to process these requests in the system.
Operation Details:
- 0 - Disabling the Workflow: When set to 0, no workflow is generated for asset posting requests. The requests are handled directly, without additional approval or notification steps.
- 1 - Only E-mail Submission: With this setting, when you request the posting of an asset, the system sends an e-mail notifying the relevant parties. This method provides a simple way to notify with no need for a formal workflow process.
- 2 - Workflow via Fluig: When set to 2, the system updates the Fluig platform to manage the workflow for posting requests. This entails the creation of a formal work process that may involve several steps, approvals and monitoring of the status of the request, improving asset management traceability and efficiency.
Importance of Parameter:
- Flexibility: The ability to enable or disable the workflow allows organizations to choose the level of formality and control they have on asset posting requests.
- Optimization of Communication: The option of sending e-mails keeps the parties informed without the complexity of a full workflow, whereas the use of a workflow system offers a structured process that can make it easier to approve and follow up on requests.
Examples:
- A company may choose to disable the workflow (0) in a test environment or when requests involve low risk.
- If the organization wants to ensure all posting requests are properly revised, it can choose to activate the workflow via Fluig (2), implementing a formal approval process.
- When a notification is enough and a formal process is not required, the only e-mail submission (1) setting may be ideal.
