  Through a user-friendly and simple interface, we changed the task and person-in-charge selection to ensure the proper execution of each activity as per the respective business process, considering that users interact with several processes every day, covering different flows, forms and persons in charge. This allows you to make informed decisions regarding where and to whom requests are submitted. The old excuse “Oh no, I sent it to the wrong person in charge” is no longer an issue.

Create even more advanced processes in fluig Studio

When creating new workflow processes, did you ever end up using BPMN 1.0 notes because you forgot to change the pallet to BPMN 2.0? fluig studio 1.5 makes it much easier to create processes using BPMN 2.0 notes: when creating a new process, you start the modeling process with a few suggested activities and swimlanes, as well as the entire BPMN 2.0 note pallet available for use. Advanced processes created in studio can now be even more advanced and modern, using BPMN 2.0 notes.
It is important to remember that BPMN 2.0 processes can still only be edited via Studio, and not via web.

When modeling a process, it is essential to consider the process use experience in mobile devices. Webdav fluid

Make sure you are the only one editing document contents

The good old check-out and check-in features make sure you are the only person editing a certain document in fluig. Wouldn’t it be great if the check-out process were automatic when editing documents via webdav? Well, now it is: with the webdav fluid, document check-out is performed automatically as soon as you start editing via webdav:

After you are done editing, the document will be anxiously awaiting check-in to make your changes available to all other users with access to the document. Plus, you can now perform the document check-in directly in the folder where the document was posted, without having to browse all the way to the my documents folder:

 
Password-protected

View protected PDF documents in the brand new internal viewer

When it comes to confidential subjects, the use of password-protected documents is very common. In fluig 1.5, you can now view such documents in the new internal viewer, which facilitates file sharing - you no longer have to send documents to other users via alternative means (e.g. email). Send documents via fluig and set security settings to only allow authorized users to view them. Say goodbye to all of those sleepless nights, wondering: “What if someone shared the document with others?”.

Don’t worry, it’s not another government program: you can now extract document information from more than one folder at once

Remember those area document reports you used to spend hours to extract information from each folder, in order to send them to the internal audit? Those same reports are now generated in just a few minutes, since this fluig update allows you to select more than one folder to extract document information in the main list. This means no more long days during internal audits...

In order to ensure higher engagement when creating forms and surveys, you can answer them directly from the timeline or through the notification center. You are no longer redirected to communities to answer forms or surveys. Are you moving a workflow request? Are you posting documents? Don’t worry: you can now quickly answer forms or surveys and go back to what you were doing before. Awesome.

Efficient process form validations

Only overburden the server when necessary

In some scenarios, users must perform simple validations in process forms, which don’t require querying datasets or external systems, for example. We created a brand new technique to make such validations even faster, where the logic you developed under the platform is executed in the fluig interface, rather than the server.
This technique is highly recommended for situations in which validations must be performed solely using the data entered in forms by individuals - such as the mandatory completion of fields. This technique expedites the entire process, providing a much more efficient process moving activity, especially in fluig Mobile, since it eliminates the need for the application to issue requests to mobile telephony carriers (3G/4G).

Hey, don’t forget the closing quotes

Identify syntax errors in codes before sending them to fluig

Who has never faced unexpected situations in processes, forms or events due to simple code syntax errors that slipped through the cracks before making its way into fluig? A missing semicolon, missing quotation marks, etc.
fluig studio 1.5 eliminates this problem, since only events developed in fluig Studio with correct syntax are sent to fluig. fluig Studio always notifies users in case of syntax errors:

You are no longer restricted to using fluig studio synchronized with the fluig update. Example: fluig 1.5.0 with fluig studio 1.5.0.
Starting from fluig studio 1.5.0, we have increased the number of compatible versions: you can use the latest fluig studio update with not so recent fluig updates. For example: you can develop apps using your fluig 1.5.0 and your studio 1.5.2. We support a range of up to four different updates. Using the last example, whenever fluig Studio 1.5.5 is released, you don’t have to update fluig in order to keep developing apps.

You don’t need to call it “fluig”

A great strategy to engage employees and make fluig go viral is to create a nickname for the platform, usually a term commonly used by your employees. For example, the nickname can be the name of the former portal or Intranet that was replaced by fluig, the name of the internal notification that was sent via email before the migration to fluig communities, etc. With fluig 1.5, you can customize the browser tab by changing the title and icon as desired:

  With the new carousel component, you can display your images in a much more attractive and sophisticated manner, similarly to a slide presentation, which allows you to stop, move forward or back among different images. This component also allows you to create external links, if necessary.

  If you need to assemble an organition chart for your company, this is the perfect component for you. Add names, pictures and positions of each professional using the template, among other information.   The Counter component was rebuilt, simplified and improved to adjust to each application. It now supports more decimal places without affecting the layout, and the HTML structure is much simpler, which allows its application in several different layouts.

  New typography CSS classes are now available to provide a more flexible app development process in fluig, assisting in cases where certain blocks of text must stand out. More time for you to update your platform

Take your time when planning your platform update process

fluig is always evolving. In order to make sure all fluigers are notified whenever new updates are available, the platform displays a pending update notification. The pending update notification is now only shown to all fluigers 30 days after the last update’s release date. Only administrators are notified before this 30-day period. This allows you to take your time to plan the update process, way before your company’s fluigers contact you requesting more information on new fluig features.

Smooth virtualization

fluig can now be used in Hyper-V virtualized servers

That’s right, you asked for it and you got it: fluig 1.5 supports the use of virtualized environments using Hyper-V as the virtualization server.

Al desarrollar una aplicación para fluig BPM (un proceso), puede enviar campos utilizados en el formulario de su proceso a fluig analytics, para crear indicadores, gráficos y paneles de seguimiento. Lo ideal es siempre evaluar los campos del formulario y enviar sólo los campos necesarios, ya que una herramienta analítica permite identificar puntos de atención dentro de un proceso o rutina para un determinado período a través de indicadores. Correcciones

Matamos algunos bugs de fluig 1.4.13, y pedimos un minuto de silencio en lugar de lanzar fluig 1.4.14 y fluig 1.5, unificamos todo en una única (ú-n-i-c-a) actualización. 

Procedimiento de actualización 

La actualización a fluig 1.5 es más fácil que quitarle un caramelo a un niño es el procedimiento que ya conoce. ¿No se acuerda? Entonces aquí vamos:

• Realice el download de soporte físico en soporte fluig;
• Descomprímalo en un directorio de su elección;
• Detenga todos los servicios de fluig (fluig, Nuevo Visualizador Interno (en caso de que lo utilice), Memcached y RealTime);
• Realice un backup de fluig (base de datos y volumen)
• Realice la actualización normalmente (en caso de tener dudas, ingrese a: Instalación fluig (Instalador) - Linux o  Instalación fluig (Instalador) - Windows.
• Inicie los servicios de fluig (en ese orden):
  • Nuevo Visualizador Interno (en caso de que lo utilice)
  • RealTime

  • Memcached

    ¿Qué le parece actualizar memcached?

    Fluig 1.5 es compatible con la última versión de memcached - 1.4.22. Actualícelo hoy mismo. Si necesita de ayuda, ingrese a Cookbooks fluig.
