Speaking of managing registered students...

Managing registered students allows canceling student registrations in classes, training courses and tracks, as well as locking and unlocking registrations in classes.

A canceled registration implies loss of course progress (i.e. if students are registered in the same course once again, they are required to perform all of its items again).

When a registration is merely locked, students lose access to the class and its items, but information regarding their progress is kept. When their registration is unlocked, they can resume the course from where they left off.

Locked registrations can also be canceled (i.e. a student that has a locked registration can have their registration in the class effectively canceled). In this case, the student loses all progress in the class, similarly to cases of canceled registrations.

Manage registered students

01. In the main menu, place the mouse over Learning.

02. Click Registrations.

03. Select the Managing registered students tab.

04. Click Category, below Selection of tracks/training courses/classes.

05. Select the category to manage its registrations.

06. Search and select the items whose registrations will be managed in the field next to the category. More than one item from the same category can be selected. Delete selected items individually or click Delete all and start item selection again.

07. In the List of Registrations table, view the existing registrations and their status.

Registrations can be filtered by status – by clicking Status, at the top of the table, and then selecting Registered or Locked Students – as well search for a specific registration from the Search field.

Lock registration

Class registrations can be locked. Registrations can be locked even if the class has already started.

01. After selecting the category and item, find the registration to be locked.

02. Click the Lock registration icon, to the right of the registration status.

03. In the pop-up confirmation message, click Confirm.

When locking a student’s registration, such student will lose access to the class from their learning plan and be unable to either access its contents or perform class items; however, their status and progress in the class and their participation in class and subject communities – if there are any – will be kept.

04. In the Action report window, view the confirmation locking the registration, or the reason for rejection.

Lock batch registrations

Registrations can only be locked for classes. Registrations can be locked even if the classes have already started.

01. After selecting the category and item, find and check the registrations to be locked.

02. Click Actions, in the upper right corner of the List of Registrations table.

03. Click Lock selected ones.

04. In the pop-up confirmation message, click Confirm.

When locking registrations made by students, they will lose access to the class from their learning plan and be unable to either access its contents or perform class items; however, their status and progress in the class and their participation in class and subject communities – if there are any – will be kept.

05. In the Action report window, view the confirmation locking the registrations, or the reason for their rejection.

Unlock registration

01. After selecting the category and item, find the registration to be unlocked.

02. Click the Unlock registration icon, to the right of the registration status.

03. In the pop-up confirmation message, click Confirm.

When unlocking a student’s registration, they recover all their progress in class and can pick up the course where they left off.

04. In the Action report window, view the confirmation unlocking the registration, or the reason for rejection.

Unlock batch registrations

02. Click Actions, in the upper right corner of the List of Registrations table.

Student registrations in tracks, training courses and classes can be canceled even if they have already started.

01. After selecting the category and item, find the registration to be canceled.

02. Click the Cancel registration icon, to the right of the registration status.

When canceling the registration of a student, they are deleted from the class and subject community – if there are any – and lose both access to the course and their status/progress. If the student is re-registered in the same course, they need to perform all items of the course again.

04. In the Action report window, view the confirmation canceling the registration, or the reason for rejection.
