Client Code/Store (MATA030 - SIGAFAT)

Filling out the Code/Store fields of the client is important for identifying them, but pay attention to the best way of filling them out.

Practical Application:

Suppose the company wants to register a client which has many stores spread throughout Brazil. What is the best way to start its registration?

In this case, both solutions may be applied, but pay attention to the advantages and disadvantages of each.

In solution I, the client's Code is the same for all branches, and only the store number is edited. Therefore, one may easily query or generate reports of the client 000001 by grouping all the branches and, when necessary, selecting only one by Code+Store.

When registering, some companies choose sequential numbering for client codes with other branches, as shown in solution II. Such definition may make it difficult to select Customer/Store in consolidated processing, if it is not registered in sequence.
