Speaking of more dataset actions...
Depending on the dataset type, several actions are available in the platform: query dataset data; edit in simple or advanced mode; show source code; check version history; delete, enable or disable dataset.
In the Datasets screen, after locating the dataset to be edited, click the button in the More actions column to access the action menu.
Query dataset
01. In the More actions menu, select Query.
02. View dataset data.
03. Click Close.
Edit dataset
01. In the More actions menu, select Edit dataset.
This option is available for simple or advanced datasets:
- Simple dataset: The platform shows settings fields, as detailed in the user document New Simple Dataset.
- Advanced dataset: The platform opens a new tab with the interface to edit the source code of the dataset, as detailed in the user document New Advanced Dataset. The user can edit the source code of the draft or the published version of the chosen dataset.
Edit in advanced mode
01. In the More actions menu, select Edit in advanced mode.
This option is only available for simple datasets and the user may choose the editing method:
- Simple editing: displays the settings fields, as detailed in the user document New Simple Dataset.
- Advanced editing: The platform opens a new tab with the interface to edit the source code of the dataset, as detailed in the user document New Advanced Dataset. The user can edit the source code of the draft (if available) or the published version of the dataset.
Attention: After a simple dataset is edited in advanced mode, it becomes an advanced dataset and can no longer be edited in simple mode.
02. In the confirmation window, click Edit in advanced mode.
03. Edit the source code of the dataset as needed.
04. Click Post to save the changes.
View the dataset source code
01. In the More actions menu, select Display code.
This option is available for simple or advanced datasets.
02. View the javascript source code of the developed dataset.
03. Click Close.
Show version history
01. In the More actions menu, select Version history.
02. View the published history version of the respective dataset.
If the version’s source code must be viewed, access the code by clicking the respective version line.
03. Click Back.
Restore earlier dataset version
01. In the More actions menu, select Version history.
02. Locate the version to be restored from the version history.
03. Click Restore.
This will create a new version of the dataset with the restored source code.
Disable/ Enable dataset
01. In the More actions menu, select Disable or Enable.
This option is available for simple or advanced datasets. When disabling a dataset with synchronization settings enabled, such settings will be lost.
02. Click Disable or Enable to confirm.
