02. DESCRIPTION

This parameter defines the depreciation method to be applied while posting assets in the system, specifically in routine ATFA036. It allows you to configure how to handle depreciation when posting a fixed asset.

The configuration options are:

- 0: It does not depreciate on posting — In this case, the system does not calculate the depreciation of the asset on posting.
- 1: Proportional depreciation on posting — The system calculates depreciation in proportion to the period between the start of the month and the posting date.
- 2: Total depreciation in month of posting — The system calculates the asset depreciation fully for the month in which the posting occurs.
- 3: Posting Does Not Depreciate/Later.

By selecting the options Posting Does Not Depreciate/Later, you can no longer depreciate it, and it also does not depreciate at asset posting.

This parameter helps to align the depreciation method depending on the company's accounting needs, ensuring greater flexibility when handling asset postings.
